We are organising the 15th Agroforestry Practitioners’ Roundtable in collaboration with Triebwerk. The workshop is aimed at practitioners who are considering establishing an agroforestry system, or who have already established and are managing one, and who wish to exchange ideas and learn more about the subject.
Contents (based on topics requested in the survey and interviews):
• An overview of agroforestry systems and
options• The basics of agroforestry planning and practical implementation: tree and shrub species and their functions, advantages and disadvantages, sources of supply, prices, etc.
• Potential, production and marketing, ecosystem services such as soil function, humus formation and water balance ->
adaptation to climate change• Risks such as pesticide emissions, host plants for pests, shading, and potential nutrient accumulation in rest areas on
pastures• Overview of the costs and labour involved in agroforestry systems, from the initial idea through to implementation, maintenance, harvesting and marketing
