The Chancellor’s support departments
The Office of Controlling and Statistics (SCS) sees itself as a reliable and trustworthy partner to all members of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The office’s motto is: “Promoting fact-based decision-making.”
The results of our data analyses are used in various departments across the University of Applied Sciences Rhine-Waal, are recognised as helpful, and create transparency. They are utilised in the development of the range of courses and in promoting academic success.
Decision-making at HSRW can also be supported by relevant information from the SCS. Not only is the university management provided with appropriate reports to help manage the quality and quantity of research and teaching, but so are faculties and programme coordinators. Further tasks:
- The SCS identifies areas where coordination is needed between stakeholders.
- The SCS coordinates the quality assurance of official statistics.
- The SCS fulfils the requirements for capacity calculation and ensures legal certainty for the NC procedures.
- The SCS provides the Lehrport software to facilitate the practical implementation of the guidelines on teaching obligations and the verification of teaching loads, and to ensure that those responsible have a clear overview.
