The zdi Centre for the District of Kleve, cleverMINT, is part of the state initiative ‘Zukunft durch Innovation.NRW’(zdi.NRW), which aims to promote young talent in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in North Rhine-Westphalia. With over 5,500 partners, zdi.NRW is the largest network of its kind in Europe and is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Federal Employment Agency.

In the district of Kleve, we bring together schools, universities, businesses and other partners to inspire children and young people to take an interest in science and technology at an early age and to give them practical insights into fields of study and careers.

Our programme comprises projects, courses and events across the entire educational spectrum – from nursery school to A-levels. These include, amongst others, the Kids’ Uni, the zdi-RobertaZentrum in Geldern, STEM workshops at the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Technology and Bionics, and the ‘Energy’ student laboratory at the Kleve campus of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.

The zdi Centre in the District of Kleve, founded in 2012, is run by Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
