We offer a wide range of new and unusual sports. Courses are only available for students. Everything is better with sports. If you want to feel at home in a new city, you need social connection. People to talk to, friends to listen to. And where better to meet new people than in sports?

At Rhine-Waal University there is now a wide range of sports. Sarah Pullich and Peter Garzke take care of it. Peter Wack and Hans-Josef Kuypers from the Förderverein Campus Cleve support their leisure activities.

There are many young people who have traveled to Cleves on the Lower Rhine from distant lands alone. And a good 40 percent of students commute home every day. A proper bond between university and fellow students is so difficult to build.

Courses in martial sport

Therefore, the offer of university sports is so important: From the public almost unnoticed, in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort numerous new sports are offered, which not only make fun and humor, but also provide a good balance to everyday life. When the head smokes, the body needs movement!

Sarah Pullich and Peter Garzke are pleased that the sports facilities in Kleve have improved significantly. The two university sports representatives now presented the new cellars at Van-den-Bergh-Straße, where fitness and dance classes as well as various martial arts activities are offered. The broad offer is made possible by the financial support of the "Campus Cleve" support association. Managing Director Hans-Josef Kuypers said that in recent years, 25,000 euros have been made available to the university.

Meanwhile over 5000 young people are studying alone in Kleve. More than 700 students attend one of the 50 courses, which are also offered in cooperation with the local clubs. However, the sports facilities of the university are reserved exclusively for students.
