Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 22 April 2014: Who actually governs Germany, and how does one become the head of Germany? Many children wonder who that person is supposed to be – the head of Germany? After all, we no longer have a king or an emperor.
This talk will clearly explain to the children how a democracy works, how one becomes Chancellor, and what the Chancellor is actually allowed to do.
The Children’s University
Through the Children’s University, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences offers children aged between 8 and 12 the opportunity to develop a passion for the world of science through lectures (45 minutes) specially designed for them. Just like proper students, they are given student ID cards. They sit in lecture theatres and can ask real professors all sorts of questions. The main difference from a proper degree course is that there are no exams to sit.
