Water sports in their most extreme forms (News)
For centuries, people have been fascinated by the idea of gliding across the water on boards. Nowadays, state-of-the-art materials enable ever more extreme designs. Yet nature still sets limits, although it is not uncommon for athletes to push these boundaries further at the very same moment. It is, therefore, a constant struggle that has lost none of its momentum to date.
Peter Garzke, a sports science graduate from the University Sports Department, takes the children on a journey through time exploring board sports and offers a forward-looking perspective on what lies ahead.
The event will take place on 10 April 2019 from 5.15 pm to 6.00 pm at the Kleve campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Marie-Curie-Straße 1, 47533 Kleve, in the Lecture Theatre Centre, Building 01, ground floor, Audimax. Admission is free and no registration is required.
