With the lecture ‘Theatre as a Space for Energy’, the speakers Wolfgang Paterok, director of the XOX Theatre in Kleve and theatre director, and Dipl.-Biol. Axel Huth, a research assistant at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, will continue the Studium Generale lecture series on 6 February 2018 at 7.00 pm. People who are passionately committed to the theatre as a profession sense the energy that fills every theatre. They draw strength from this and, in turn, give energy back.
The speakers will discuss how this also applies to theatregoers and what effect the audience’s energy has on the performers. Short demonstrations will be used to illustrate the impact of these energy flows in the theatre.
The event will take place at the Kleve campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Marie-Curie-Straße 1, Lecture Theatre Centre, ground floor, Room 01 EG 005 (Lecture Theatre 1).
The lecture is part of the Studium Generale programme and has been designed to make academic research accessible through lectures that are easy for everyone to understand. The lecture programme is aimed at the general public, students, school pupils and anyone interested in science in the region, as well as at lecturers and staff at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, with a focus on general, universal education. The lecture series also provides a platform for lively exchange and discussion on current issues.
