The interdisciplinary team from the Faculty of Communication and the Environment won over the jury with their concept for an electronic secretary, beating the teams from the universities of Hamburg, Cologne and Meschede. They are now through to the international final. Everyone at the university is keeping their fingers crossed for the team!
Divided into five different teams, the students spent the first two months refining concepts on the theme of ‘the world of work of the future’, demonstrating a high degree of entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to put ideas into practice. They went through every stage of a project, from brainstorming and prototyping right through to presenting their ideas to a high-calibre jury comprising Accenture consultants and lecturers from Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
The team comprising students Dennis Janzen, Marius Schober, Lea Stark, Ralph Theodori and Sophia Worbes won the first qualifying round with their ‘Secretary’ project and went on to represent Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the North Rhine-Westphalia final on 23 June 2017 in Dortmund – where they were once again successful! The students, from four different degree programmes, once again impressed the jury with their concept for an electronic secretary, beating the teams from the universities of Hamburg, Cologne and Meschede.
They have now qualified for the international final (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), which will take place on 7 July 2017 in Kronberg. Everyone at the university is keeping their fingers crossed for the team!
