Once again, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is offering all interested members of the public in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort the opportunity to attend regular lectures as guest students during the 2015/2016 winter semester.
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 29 September 2015: As well as engaging talks as part of the Studium Generale programme, lectures can once again be attended as a guest student this semester. This is aimed at anyone interested in furthering their knowledge in a specific subject area. Lectures are offered in German or English across the various degree programmes of the three faculties at the Kleve campus and the Faculty of Communication and Environment at the Kamp-Lintfort campus.
The lectures at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics on the Kleve campus primarily cover technical topics such as ‘Sustainable Product Design’, ‘Numerics and Statistics’, ‘Ecological Design to Cost’ and ‘Field Data Processing’. The Faculty of Life Sciences, for example, covers subjects such as ‘Biology’, ‘Fundamentals of Environmental Protection’, ‘Pharmacology and Toxicology’ and ‘Herd Management and Health’. The Faculty of Society and Economics offers lectures on topics such as ‘International Financial Markets’, ‘Management of Non-Profit Organisations and Fundraising’, ‘Stock Exchange and Market Simulations’ and ‘Public Finance’, as well as ‘Gender History and Women’s Movements’.
At the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort campus, the following modules are available, amongst others: ‘Fundamentals of Computer Science and Computer Networks’, ‘Communication & Co-operation’, ‘Knowledge and Quality Management’, ‘Structured and Object-Oriented Programming’ and ‘Mathematics’.
Those interested can register as guest students at the Student Service Centre of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and purchase a guest student pass for 100 euros to attend the open lectures during the 2015/2016 winter semester. A student pass entitles the holder to attend the relevant lecture on a regular basis from September 2015 to February 2016.
