New lectures open to non-degree students
In addition to the fascinating talks organised as part of the Studium Generale programme, lectures can once again be attended as a guest student this term. This is aimed at anyone interested in furthering their knowledge in a specific subject area. Lectures are delivered in German or English across the various degree programmes of the three faculties at the Kleve Campus and the Faculty of Communication and Environment at the Kamp-Lintfort Campus.
Lectures at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics on the Kleve Campus primarily cover technical topics such as ‘Bionics’, ‘Process Engineering’, ‘Design of Environmentally Friendly Circuits’ and ‘Controls’. The Faculty of Life Sciences, for example, covers topics such as ‘Quality Management’, ‘Occupational Health and Safety’, ‘Nanobiology’ and ‘Crop Physiology and Nutrition’. The Faculty of Society and Economics offers lectures on topics such as ‘Tourism’, ‘Destination Management’, ‘International Human Rights’ and ‘Education and Family Law’.
At the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort campus, the following lectures, amongst others, are available: ‘Human Resource Management’, ‘Quality and Risk’, ‘Discrete Mathematics’, ‘Introduction to Media Informatics’, and ‘Fundamentals of Computer Science and Computer Networks’.
Those interested can register as guest students at the Student Service Centre of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences and purchase a guest student card for 100 euros to attend the open lectures during the 2016/2017 winter semester. A visitor pass entitles the holder to attend the relevant lecture on a regular basis from September 2016 to January 2017.
