Once again, the Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort campuses of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences are offering all interested members of the public the opportunity to attend regular lectures as guest students during the 2015 summer semester.
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 18 March 2015: As well as engaging talks as part of the Studium Generale programme, lectures are once again open to visiting students this term. This is aimed at anyone interested in furthering their knowledge in a specific subject area. Lectures are delivered in German and English from the various degree programmes offered by the three faculties on the Kleve campus and the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort campus.
Lectures at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics on the Kleve campus primarily cover technical topics such as ‘Technical Design’, ‘Materials inspired by Nature’, ‘Thermodynamics’ and ‘Political Communication’. The Faculty of Life Sciences, for example, covers topics such as ‘Biology and Biodiversity’, ‘Applied Microbiology’ and ‘Occupational Health and Safety’. The Faculty of Society and Economics offers lectures on topics such as ‘Regional Integration’, ‘Diversity and Marketing’, ‘Organisational Economics’ and ‘Social Change and Culture in Early Childhood Education’, as well as ‘Urban and Cultural Tourism’, ‘Political Consultancy’ and ‘Healthcare Management’.
The lectures offered by the Faculty of Communication and Environment at the Kamp-Lintfort campus include, amongst others: ‘Computer Networks’, ‘Management Accounting’, ‘Advanced Programming’, ‘General Psychology’, ‘Algorithms and Data Structures’ and ‘Marketing’.
Those interested can register at the Student Service Centre and purchase a guest student card for 100 euros to attend the open lectures during the 2015 summer semester. An auditor’s card entitles the holder to attend the relevant lecture regularly from March to July 2015.
