More and more companies are supporting the Germany Scholarship programme at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences. For the upcoming funding period 2018/19 alone, ten companies from the region have joined the scheme.
They are all united by their interest in supporting high-achieving students at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and in helping to continue the success story of the ‘Deutschlandstipendium’. Currently, a total of 33 regional companies are contributing a total of 65 scholarships to the ‘Deutschlandstipendium’ scheme. Such a high level of corporate support for the ‘Deutschlandstipendium’ is a first for Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
Dr Heide Naderer, President of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, is delighted with these figures: “I am delighted and proud that we are working with so many companies from the region and will continue to expand the potential for development in this area.” As part of this initiative, Dr Naderer, accompanied by Professor Dr Steffi Wiedemann (Faculty of Life Sciences) and Dr Doris Beer, who is responsible for liaising with the friends’ associations and scholarship providers, visited the company For Farmers Thesing Mischfutter GmbH & Co. KG in Rees for a cooperation meeting. The senior managing director, Hugo Thesing, spontaneously agreed to support students at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences through the Germany Scholarship scheme.
