Every year, the University of Turin organises a comprehensive, EU-funded programme to discuss the current state of European integration. Academics from across Europe examine regional integration in Europe, the various perspectives from the Member States and Europe’s role in the world. The programme also includes an exchange with practitioners from the world of politics and EU institutions.

Dr Jakob Lempp (ccst) has been a member of the programme for many years; it was launched in 2025 by the former Spanish Foreign Minister, Arancha González Laya. On 28 October 2025, he discussed Germany’s changing role in the European Union with participants in the programme.
