Start-up Week at the university: open to anyone interested

Once again this year, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is actively taking part in Germany’s largest nationwide campaign to promote entrepreneurship and the start-up spirit: Start-up Week Germany will take place from 15 to 19 November 2021. The aim of the campaign week is to inspire young people to think and act entrepreneurially, to develop the relevant skills, to stimulate creativity, and to facilitate an exchange of ideas, experiences and opinions on the topics of start-ups and self-employment.

The Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (ZFIT) is offering a comprehensive programme of virtual events on the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity as part of the StartGlocal – Global Spirit for Local Start-ups project. Academic staff and lecturers from the university were also involved in designing the programme. The interactive online workshops cover a wide range of topics: these include, amongst others, a start-up coaching session (16 November 2021), a workshop on ‘Hacks for your Start-up PR’ (17 November 2021) and the interactive ‘Pressure Cooker Day’ (19 November 2021).

Creative individuals and those interested in starting a business will not only have the opportunity to gain new experiences and fresh inspiration. Through personalised advisory services, participants can also present their ideas to ensure a successful start-up phase. The online workshops are open to students, alumni and staff at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, as well as to members of the public who are interested. Please register at www.startglocal.de.
