Field trip to Brussels organised by the Science Communication & Bionics degree programme
The course on ‘Political Communication in Science’, which forms part of the Science Communication degree programme, went on a one-and-and-a-half-day field trip to Brussels, including a visit to the Representation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, where the students were able to gain an insight into the practical world of political communication – particularly in transnational contexts – through discussions with representatives of the European Parliament, industry lobbyists and a non-governmental organisation. Several opportunities for internships abroad and future guest lectures arose straight away.
