Digitalisation in dental technology

The Lower Rhine 3D Competence Centre at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the wir4 Economic Development Agency invite you to an information event on the topic ‘Intraoral scanners and 3D printing – what is already possible today?’.

Dr Thomas Wülfing, MD, MSc (Dent.), a dentist based in Alpen who has specialised in computer-aided digital dentistry for several years, explains in his presentation how the intraoral scanner is used in day-to-day practice. Whether it involves creating implants, cosmetic corrections, precise drilling templates or telescopic restorations, the use of digital technology transforms and speeds up collaboration between the practice and the laboratory in a variety of ways. Peter Hoppe, from Hoppe Zahntechnologie in Neukirchen-Vluyn, will share his experiences of digital impression-taking and its possibilities. The live demonstration ‘Digital Impression-Taking’ will be led by Ralph Ziereis, managing partner of TEAMZIEREIS GmbH in Engelsbrand. Participants will have the opportunity to scan themselves or have themselves scanned.

The event will take place on 17 May 2019 from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm on the Kamp-Lintfort campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Friedrich-Heinrich-Allee 25, in Building 01. Participation is free of charge. Anyone interested is asked to register by emailing jessica.strobel@hochschule-rhein-waal.de.
