At two meetings held in the spring, the Faculty Council elected a new Dean of Studies and a new Vice-Dean: Prof. Dr Alexander Struck (left), Professor of Theoretical Physics and previously Vice-Dean, was elected as the new Dean of Studies. Doris Gerland (centre), who works in International Affairs and Marketing, became the first academic staff member to be elected as Vice-Dean. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Nissing (right), Professor of Control Engineering, remains in office as Dean.
