Erfolgreicher "Make an Impact! Day" auf dem Campus Kleve

Die bisher größte Veranstaltung des Projektes „StartGlocal – Global Spirit for Local Start-ups“ an der Hochschule Rhein-Waal, die mit dem Career Service der Fakultät Gesellschaft und Ökonomie organisiert wurde, lockte am 1. As part of the Research and Management Skills module in the International Business and Management, B.A. degree programme as well as Scientific Skills in der International Taxation and Law, B.A. degree programme, students also learn a lot about teamwork and team building. Applied learning in this case means carrying out an Egg Drop Challenge. For this, the students have the task of dropping an egg from a height of several metres as a team, without breaking it, of course. The equipment available is straws, tape and scissors.

Field trip to Henkel Group

As part of a project in international taxation with Prof. Dr. habil. Ute Merbecks eleven bachelors’ students from International Taxation and Law were given the opportunity to visit the headquarter of Henkel Group in Düsseldorf. Besides an official presentation about the company and possible tax career opportunities at Henkel, our students had quite informative discussions with tax-experts from Henkel.

Make an Impact! Day

Making the world a better place while earning money with it? What is the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences doing in terms of sustainability, and which projects and initiatives are  concerned with this topic? How can I find sustainable solutions to social and environmental problems? Answers to all of these questions and more will be provided at the "Make an Impact! Day" on 1st of June. The Career Service FSE and StartGlocal invite you to various lectures and workshops in front of and inside Building 2. 

Marketing campaign for a rural destination: students take part in international competition

As part of the Students League of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), students from the Sustainable Tourism B.A. program designed an exciting marketing concept for the community of Haidmühle. On April 27, 2022, the project ended with a successful presentation of the results to representatives of the community.

Graduation Ceremony in May 2022

80 graduates experienced a moving afternoon with numerous speeches and awards together with their families and friends. The event was musically accompanied by Prof. Dr. Thomas Pitz, who provided the musical entertainment on the grand piano with his own compositions. In his speech, Dean Prof. Dr. Ralf Klapdor thanked the graduates: "The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Society and Economics are proud of you!" As a representative of the Presidium, Prof. Dr. Tatiana Zimenkova, Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity, addressed a word of welcome to the graduates and everyone present.
