Scientific symposium on odour formation on textiles


On 26 February 2016, the ‘1st International Symposium on Textile Malodour’ will take place from 9 am to 5 pm in the lecture theatre complex at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences on the Kleve campus. 

Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 18 February 2016: At the first international scientific symposium on the topic of ‘Odour formation on textiles’, numerous renowned experts will present their latest research findings on the topics of ‘Sweat odour formation on the skin’, ‘Odour formation in laundry and washing machines’ and ‘Interactions between textiles and evaporating odour compounds’. The symposium will address both the microbiological and biochemical aspects of odour formation on textiles. In workshops, participants will have the opportunity to discuss with the experts the role of microorganisms, textiles, detergents and washing machines in odour formation. Up to 100 participants are expected from the textile, laundry and detergent industries worldwide, as well as scientists and students from universities and universities of applied sciences.
