Modern information and communication technologies are undergoing rapid change. It is therefore essential to develop appropriate and future-proof IT strategies. To ensure this is achieved, the university is organising what is now its 8th E-Government University Day.
In collaboration with the Lower Rhine Municipal Data Centre (KRZN), the North Rhine-Westphalia State Agency for Information and Technology (IT.NRW), Computacenter AG & Co. oHG and CHG Meridian AG, the Faculty of Communication and Environment at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is exploring the topic ‘From the Cretaceous Period to the Digital World – Our Educational Landscape in Flux’.
Following the opening and welcome address by University President Dr Oliver-Locker-Grütjen and Professor Dr Christoph Landscheidt, the Mayor of Kamp-Lintfort, a series of engaging presentations and discussions led by experts from business, public administration and academia will provide insights into the development of digitalisation programmes for schools, as well as the potential challenges and solutions involved in using new media in the classroom. Students from Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences will also present their projects.
The event will take place on 3 December 2019 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Kamp-Lintfort campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Friedrich-Heinrich-Allee 25, in the Lecture Theatre Centre, Building 01. Attendance is free of charge. Please register by 2 December 2019.
