Is music a miracle cure? What lies behind X-rays? In which period did Dante live, and what were his works? What social functions of ‘gossip’ should be taken into account from a psychological perspective? Experts will discuss these and other fascinating topics in their lectures as part of the Studium Generale programme during the summer semester of 2015 at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 14 April 2015: The Studium Generale programme will once again feature presentations on fascinating topics during the forthcoming 2015 summer semester. Experts from the fields of higher education, medicine, nature conservation, philosophy and music will be giving talks at the Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort campuses of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. They will present topical issues in a way that is relevant to everyday life, once again offering interested members of the public an informative and entertaining insight.
The lecture programme is aimed at the general public, as well as students, lecturers and staff at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The lecture series also offers the opportunity to engage with current issues. “We invite everyone, regardless of age, to attend these fascinating lectures,” says the university’s President, Prof. Dr Marie-Louise Klotz. She also sees the programme as an opportunity to visit the university’s two campuses.
The Studium Generale lectures at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences are free of charge for members of the public.
