Students develop the ‘Art & Cycle’ app
The project, funded by Euregio, was developed as part of the exhibition “Der Himmel so weit” at Museum Schloß Moyland. The app offers offline navigation to the locations where 24 of the landscape paintings on display were created. It provides maps for a total of four cycle routes in the Arnhem, Nijmegen and Kleve triangle and guides cyclists to the exact spots where famous painters such as Jan van Goyen and Barend Cornelis Koekkoek found their landscape motifs. This gives visitors the opportunity to compare the paintings in the exhibition with the real-life locations and to view the landscape from the artists’ perspective.
The exhibition at Museum Schloß Moyland runs until 24 August 2014.
