The ‘Meet the Experts’ collaboration event took place for the second time, offering pupils from upper secondary vocational schools specialising in technology and natural sciences an insight into the degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Technology and Bionics at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
Another item on the programme was the seminar ‘Basics of Control Engineering’, led by Mr Neyenhuys and Mr Verrieth, in which the pupils familiarised themselves with the concept of a closed-loop system and analysed the ‘steady state’, that is, the steady-state behaviour of a system. They were particularly enthusiastic about the combination of theory and practice: alongside the numerous practical exercises, there was also plenty of opportunity to chat with Prof. Dr Nissing and find out about study options and course content. “I particularly liked the fact that everything here is so international, and it was interesting to see what students have to achieve,” said Aleksandar Mehremic, summarising his impressions of “Meet the Experts”.
