To mark the start of the 2023 summer term, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is once again offering members of the public the opportunity to attend regular lectures and courses. Guest student status enables anyone interested to attend selected courses without needing a university entrance qualification.
Visiting student status in the faculties
: The Faculty of Technology and Bionics at the Kleve Campus offers lectures delivered exclusively in English, covering not only traditional subjects such as physics, mathematics and chemistry, but also topics from the fields of science communication, electrical engineering, business administration and project management. The Faculty of Life Sciences focuses, amongst other things, on microbiology and immunology, as well as occupational health and safety, health law and agroecology. The third faculty on the Kleve Campus, the Faculty of Society and Economics, concentrates in its lectures particularly on business-related aspects such as company law, social responsibility, and organisation and business development. In addition, lectures on domestic and international politics are also offered. At the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort Campus, the following lectures, amongst others, are available: IT security, applied statistics and general psychology.
Members of the public who are interested can register as guest students with the Central Student Advisory Service at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The guest student card costs €100.00 and is valid for attending open lectures during the summer term from March to July 2023.
Auditor status for sports
courses The university’s sports programme is also opening up its sports activities to auditors. The range of courses on offer includes, amongst others, Pilates, volleyball, yoga, fencing and badminton. The only exceptions are the gliding, bouldering and tennis courses.
Those interested can choose between two options:
a) registering for a single course (prices range from 25.00 to 50.00 euros per semester) or
b) a flat rate of 60.00 euros per semester. This season ticket is valid for all visits to the university’s sports facilities during the summer term.
