The Faculty of Society and Economics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is delighted to announce the appointment of three professors to the Examination Board of the Chamber of Public Accountants (WPK). In addition to the Dean, Prof. Dr Ralf Klapdor, who has been a member of the Examination Board for ten years, Professors Dr Ralf Bauer and Dr Philipp Schorn have now also been appointed to this body. These appointments are a recognition of their outstanding work in the field of auditing and financial reporting.
The WPK’s Examination Board, based in Berlin, is responsible for administering the chartered accountant examination, which ensures high standards of auditing in Germany. The Examination Board is appointed for a term of five years at a time, subject to the approval of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs.
The reappointment of Ralf Klapdor, Professor of Business Administration (specialising in international taxation), confirms the consistent quality he brings to the committee’s work. Together with the two business administration professors, Ralf Bauer (specialising in management accounting and cost accounting) and Philipp Schorn (specialising in accounting and auditing), Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is now strongly represented on the Examination Board. This not only recognises the individual achievements of the three professors, but also highlights the university’s standing in this field.
