Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences wishes you a peaceful Christmas

At Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW), with students from more than 120 countries and staff from nearly 30 countries, peaceful and respectful coexistence is of the utmost importance to us. Our university is an open and non-discriminatory institution. It promotes international academic discourse as well as value-based and cultural exchange. Through this approach, it contributes to mutual understanding between cultures in an interconnected world. 

In a world facing numerous crises, challenges and uncertainties, as well as suffering, it is of the utmost importance that we stand together as a community and that we are committed to harmonious coexistence and treating one another with respect. Particularly in times such as these, we must maintain an accepting, inclusive and appreciative environment. This requires a concerted effort from all of us. For this to succeed, every member of the university community must be prepared to respect other perspectives and opposing viewpoints as a matter of principle, and to tolerate differences of opinion. 

Anyone familiar with the HSRW recognises it as a strong international community and a place that demonstrates how we can work peacefully and across national borders to tackle the key challenges of our time and seek solutions to societal challenges together. This is what the HSRW, together with its members, stands for. I very much hope that this approach and a return to human solidarity will help us to cope better with the many crises in this world.
