Senior representatives from the US partner university met with President Dr Heide Naderer and the four faculties to gain an even better insight into their respective areas of expertise and thus expand the scope for cooperation between the two universities.
President Richard Lapidus and Provost Alberto Cardelle from Fitchburg State University visited Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences from 11 to 13 June. The high-level delegation met with President Dr Heide Naderer and representatives from all four faculties. The guests were impressed by the study and teaching facilities at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
The aim of the numerous discussions was to gain an even better insight into the academic areas of focus on campus, thereby enabling the expansion of opportunities for cooperation between the two universities. As a possible way of deepening the cooperation, discussions were held with Dr Naderer and Professor Schorn – Vice-Dean for International Affairs at the Faculty of Society and Economics – regarding the possibilities of a double-degree agreement, similar to the one already in place with the US partner university, Ferris State in Michigan.
