Moritz Körner and Stephan Haupt, FDP members of the state parliament, and Daniel Rütter, chair of the FDP’s Kleve district branch, visited the Kleve campus of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
At the meeting, they discussed current higher education policy issues with President Dr Heide Naderer and the Vice-President for Human Resources, Organisational Development and Diversity – Professor Georg Hauck – such as the possible introduction of tuition fees for non-EU nationals, the further development of doctoral programmes at universities of applied sciences, the aim to make funding under the Higher Education Pact more permanent, and the hitherto inadequate funding of applied research and knowledge transfer at universities of applied sciences.
