- Product development: product development processes
- Planning and designing components and assemblies
- Creation of technical documents (3D data sets and drawings) using computer-aided design
- Carrying out calculations, assessing raw materials and consumables, distinguishing between manufacturing and assembly techniques
- Supporting the product development process from design through prototyping to the test phase
