PME Family Service
Childcare advice and assistance
PME Family Service offers a wide range of professional information, counseling, mediation and help with childcare arrangements e.g.
- mediation of a childminder and au pair
- consultation on short-term care, e.g. business trips or school holidays
- consultation on day-care centers in private and public facilities, schools
- Parental counselling, upbringing, parental allowance, etc.
- Nationwide backup centers
All consultations are kept strictly confidential and you can remain anonymous at any time.
For HSRW members, the offer is free of charge. The consultation takes place in German, English and other languages.
Contact and Online-Service-Portal / App: "My Familyservice"
You will receive your personal login link for university members on request from the Equal Opportunities / Family Service team of the HSRW, employees additionally via the QM portal. Please write an Email to familienservice@hochschule-rhein-waal.de. You need this link to register as a university member and to create an individual account. Log in with your individual access data and then access the portal at any time using any device. PME also offers an App where you can access your Service-Portal.
In your individual online portal you will find current information, helpful downloads, online midwife advice, babysitter search, parent advice, daycare and school search and much more.

Nationwide Backup-Center:
PME Familienservice offers nationwide backup centers for emergency care. You will find an overview of the backup centres as well as further details in the online portal "My Familyservice".
PME Familyservice offers lectures and webinars (interactive online seminars) on the subject of child-care:
Registration is possible in our online portal. Students also filter by "employees of contract partners" in order to find suitable offers. If you would like to register for a webinar filter by "virtual".
What is a webinar?
Webinars are interactive online seminars held over the Internet at a fixed time. Participation in the webinars is free of charge for HSRW university members. You need a PC, tablet or smartphone with Internet access to participate in the webinar from a location of your choice. The webinars are held by experts and provide enough space for questions in addition to the presentation.
