Registration

The library of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is a scientific library open to the public and available both to those seeking information within the university and to all interested persons outside the university. You can use the physical media on site and learn or work in the library without registration.

Borrowing media and using other services of the library requires prior registration. This is free of charge for all users.

Registration is possible at the information desk during service hours. Usually you will receive your library card directly when you register.

You do not need to fill in a registration form. Please make sure that you provide the library with your current postal address in Germany. University members can change their postal address in the university information system.

When you receive your library card, you must identify yourself by means of a valid original photo ID. By signing the library card, the user accepts the library's terms and conditions of use and data protection.

External users only have access to the library's electronic resources within the university network due to licensing regulations. To use e-media and your library account, you must log on to a library computer once at the earliest one day after your registration.

For information on setting up and using handheld and laboratory reserve collections for university employees, please see the " Infoblatt zur Bibliotheksanmeldung für Hochschulangehörige" (German) in the QM portal.
