Every year, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences presents the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) award for outstanding academic achievements and social commitment. This year it goes to Bachelor student Joy Okundia for her very good performance in her studies as well as her commitment to other students and the academic community.

GameLet: Promoting reading fluency in secondary schools
Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, together with partners in Germany and Europe, has developed Gamelet, a brand new learning software designed to improve the reading fluency of secondary school pupils. Using a media-based, multilingual approach in combination with gamification elements, GameLet will help address deficits in reading skills, multilingualism and media integration. Großer Aktionstag zu den Themen Klima, Umwelt und Naturschutz
Auch die Hochschule Rhein-Waal beteiligt sich mit verschiedenen Angeboten bei „Stand up for Nature: Das Haus der kleinen Forscher*innen Kreis Kleve bietet mit den Angeboten „Our World“ und „Brot und Beutel“ Möglichkeiten zum Forschen und Gestalten mit Naturfarbstoffen, z.B. mit Rotkohlpresssaft, um nachhaltige Postkarten oder Brotbeutel zu gestalten. Beide Produkte können im Anschluss von den Teilnehmenden mit nach Hause genommen werden.
