Study Advisory Service

The Study Advisory Service advises and informs prospective students, students, their parents and teachers about all study matters and offers workshops and events on study-related topics.

Welcome Centre

The qualified student tutors of the Welcome Center help with social and cultural issues. Through a variety of offers they also support the exchange of students amongst each other.

 

AStA

The General Student Committee (German: AStA) is the executive organ of the student body. It is elected resp. confirmed by the Student Parliament. The Student Parliament assigns tasks to the AStA and monitors the fulfilling of those. The AStA of Rhine Waal University of Applied Sciences is organized into the Board and the Departments. The different departments support students with advice and service offers.

Internship, student job or first steps in a new career – Rhine-Waal’s Career Service is here to support students with their entry into the working world.

Study Guidance / Study Guides

Unexpected academic and social problems are roadblocks on the path to students’ academic success. Study guides at the faculties provide orientation and support students during their course of studies

 

Link professors

Link Professors are points of contacts within the faculties who have been professionally trained to provide counselling and support. Contact them any time for help if you are struggling with academic issues or personal problems. They are important intermediaries for faculty or study-related issues.

Psychological Counselling Service

The psychological counselling service offers individual supportive counselling sessions to students who feel mentally drained and overwhelmed and who need help navigating difficult emotional/social situations that are interfering with their studies.

Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf

The Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf provides advice and support to students with social, private or financial problems affecting their studies. Regular consultation hours are offered at both campus locations of Rhine-Waal University.

Studying with Disability or Chronic Illness

The university supports all students in their endeavour to earn a degree. The Study Advisory Service is the direct contact point for students with any kind of question relating to the organisation of their studies or compensation for their disadvantage caused by their specific situation.
