Dr. Heide Naderer officially appointed as President of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences

On Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Düsseldorf, Dr. Thomas Grünewald, Deputy Minister for Innovation, Science and Research in North Rhine-Westphalia, presented Dr. Heide Naderer with the official letter of appointment to the position of president of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Naderer will officially take office as the new university president on May 1, 2015.

Can music have miraculous effects on the healing process? What is the history and significance of the x-ray? What was Dante’s world like, and how did it affect his works? What is the social function of gossip from a psychological point of view? As part of Rhine-Waal’s Studium General programme for the summer semester 2015, experts will hold talks on these topics and more, providing audiences with interesting looks and insight into a variety of different subject areas. All presentations will be held in German.

Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day 2015

On April 23, 2015, pupils from around the region will have the opportunity to participate in Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. This event is designed to give young people valuable glimpses into degrees and career paths that they might not have considered for the future.

Apprenticeship Night in Kleve

Choices, choices, choices: for many pupils and parents living in the Lower Rhine region, the question of an apprenticeship or a university degree is an important one. To help them make an informed decision, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is holding the 6th annual Apprenticeship Night (Nacht der Ausbildung) on April 24, 2015 on its Kleve Campus.

NRW Minister Sylvia Löhrmann officially starts off this year’s “Mittwochsakademie”

The central theme of this year’s Mittwochsakademie lecture series will be gender equality, with a particular focus on gender policy and research. Sylvia Löhrmann, Minister of Schools and Futher Education for the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, will officially launch the series with a talk on April 15, 2015 at 6:00 pm on the Kleve Campus.

An Electrifying Wedding

Learning about energy through theater! 120 preschool children from around Kleve attended the exciting and interactive play “Hochzeit unter Strom”, which tells the story of Gundi and Gustel, who run into some unexpected electricity-related problems on the day of their wedding.

Stiftung des Kreises Wesel „macht Druck“

Die "Stiftung Standort- und Zukunftssicherung Kreis Wesel" unterstützt das zdi-Zentrum (Zukunft durch Innovation) Kamp-Lintfort durch die Anschaffung von 3D-Druckern für Keramik und Schokolade mit 24.000 Euro. Geplant werden auch gemeinsame Informations- und Fortbildungsveranstaltungen zu dieser Zukunftstechnologie.
