Services for students

The Equal Opportunities team is dedicated to topics and services in the areas of equal opportunity for all genders and work-life-study balances. We are your point of contact for all gender equality issues and we strive to help families find a healthy balance between their personal responsibilities at home and their obligations at University. In addition to our central Equal Opportunities team, each faculty also has its own equal opportunity representative closer to students. We offer the following services:                                                                                              

• Advising, informing and providing referrals for childcare services (through PME Familienservice) and care services for immediate family (through benefit@work)
• A limited number of reserved slots in the kindergarten “KiKus wilde 13” near Kleve Campus

• Borrowable toy chests with painting and colouring supplies, books, games etc.
• A dedicated Moodle area with current information (“Familienservice / Studieren mit Kind” – password can be requested by contacting Family Services) and a comprehensive resource guide for student parents.
• A point of contact for all questions and concerns relating to equal opportunities
