Services for students

Study Guides

Study Guides are staff members within the faculties who help students with questions relating to their study and graduation progression. Each faculty has one Study Guide who acts as a first point of reference for all study-related questions, fears and problems. Study Guides can offer individual advice to help you overcome difficult social, organisational or course-related issues standing in your way. They also offer advising services for pregnant students on their legal rights and obligations in Germany. Beyond that they can also advise you on issues connected to academic milestones (your first semester, choosing electives, writing your thesis) and they will actively reach out to struggling students to help them get their studies back on track.

Study Guides also host informational events and workshops for different phases of study. If they’re unable to help, they are more than happy to refer you to other specialist advising services at Rhine-Waal University and elsewhere in the region. Refer to the digital guide„A-Z Advising Services for Students“ for more information.
