Kids' Uni

Lectures for kids between 8 and 12

Kids’ Uni is a programme at Rhine-Waal University which gives kids between 8 and 12 the chance to take part in ‘university lectures’ created just for them!

Just like real students, kid's will get student passes, sit in lecture halls and have the chance to pester real professors with all the questions they can think of. At the same time they get to experience an extraordinary opportunity to learn more about science in a language they can understand.

Lectures are held in German, and no prior registration is required – just drop in!

Dates of the Kids´ Uni will be published as soon as possible.

THE ASTRONOMER'S TOOLBOX – HOW DO YOU ACTUALLY EXPLORE THE UNIVERSE?

-----POSTPONED INDEFINITELY-----

Kleve Campus (Audimax)

We already know quite a lot about the universe today – but how is that possible when it would take us more than two years just to reach our neighbouring planet? And why is flying through the solar system different from flying on Earth? What can we learn about our world from observing celestial bodies? What role does light play? We want to ask ourselves these questions and conduct exciting experiments – and in doing so, learn that the questions are almost as important as the answers.

Prof. Dr Alexander Struck works at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. He conducts research in the field of theoretical physics.
