Girls’ Day und Boys’ Day

Rhine-Waal University has to cancel this year's participation in the Girls' Day and Boys' Day on 26 March 2020 as a prevention due to the corona virus. We kindly ask for your understanding and we will participate again next year.

Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day is a chance for boys and girls to learn more about careers that are traditionally “un-typical” for their gender. Girls, for example, can learn more about engineering and natural sciences, while boys can explore fields usually dominated by women, such teaching or elderly care. The long-term goal of this initiative is to spark the interest of school-aged children in alternative careers from an early age. It’s also a chance to re-examine gender roles in society and get initial impressions of the labour world for children.

If you’d like to read more information on the initiative (in German), please refer to the official sites: Boys’ Day and Girls’ Day.
