Girls’ Day und Boys’ Day
at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences
As in previous years, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences will be participating in the Girls’ Day und Boys’ Day on 26 March 2020 with a broad and interesting programme of activities.
Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day is a chance for boys and girls to learn more about careers that are traditionally “un-typical” for their gender. Girls, for example, can learn more about engineering and natural sciences, while boys can explore fields usually dominated by women, such teaching or elderly care. The long-term goal of this initiative is to spark the interest of school-aged children in alternative careers from an early age. It’s also a chance to re-examine gender roles in society and get initial impressions of the labour world for children.
