Basic Rights - More Than Words

An exhibition of the Constitutional Court of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia

Democracy needs space for dialogue. From May 7 to 29, 2026, the traveling exhibition “Basic Rights – More Than Words” will be on display at the Kleve Campus.

Universities are more than just places of learning: they are centers for democratic education. Here, critical thinking, freedom of expression, and open discourse are put into practice. Our basic rights form the foundation for peaceful coexistence and protect the freedom and dignity of every individual. The exhibition by the Constitutional Court of North Rhine-Westphalia addresses precisely this and highlights the significance of our constitution.

The exhibition is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to students, staff, and the interested public.
