‘Taste of Niederrhein’ – agroforestry products from the Lower Rhine
The Agroforestry Living Lab team presents regional agroforestry partners and their products.
Dr Ana Kreter, coordinator of the team Agroforestry Living Lab, will present regional agroforestry partners and their products, which you will be able to sample afterwards. Among them: Walnut brownies, goat ice cream and cheese.
Agroforestry systems combine and manage arable farming or permanent grassland, with or without livestock, together with woody plants on one area. A simple example from the Lower Rhine: the orchard meadow.
In the short term, the Agroforst Reallabor aims to create demonstration areas for various agroforestry systems in the Lower Rhine region in cooperation with farms and to accompany these scientifically. This will enable intelligent agroforestry that points the way to a sustainable future.
This event is part of the DialogPunkt Xanten in cooperation with the city of Xanten.
