Experiences from the International Excursion to Benin
Between lecture hall and kingdom
Twelve days in Benin, twelve changes of perspective: from Cotonou's honking symphony to the tranquillity of the royal courts, from agroforestry systems and farmers' markets to the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone, where value creation remains in the country.
Students and lecturers from the Faculty of Life Sciences report on their encounters: baobab research between ecology and economics, traditional authorities as arbitrators, climate change as an everyday experience, and a travel group that embraces diversity and brings it to life in the world.
Come along, hear stories from the field, ask questions, join in the discussion. What remains after such an excursion? A different way of seeing things. And perhaps an idea of how well the world can function when people listen to each other.
Presentations, Q&A, music and light refreshments included.
