The Autumn School 2026 on Sustainability & Design, organized by the research group MOVEN, invites PhD students, postdocs, researchers, and practitioners to explore sustainability transformations, behavior change, climate futures, and the role of design in addressing societal challenges. Over three days, the program combines transdisciplinary exchange, critical reflection, and hands-on collaborative work in an international setting. The School brings together perspectives from Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design Research, Technology, Psychology & Behavior Change, Sustainability, Social Transformation, Media & Innovation Studies, and More-than-Human approaches.

Keynote speakers: 

  • Prof. Dr. Lenneke Kuijer (Industrial Design Department of Eindhoven University of  Technology, Netherlands)
  • Prof. Peter Gall Krogh (Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University, Finland)
  • Prof. Dr. Matthias Laschke (Design Digital Media in the Faculty of Communication and Environment of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Germany)
