The Fairtrade Textile Programme
The Fairtrade Textile Programme is an individually created training program to support companies in the implementation of social and environmental requirements. It is possible to use the program in combination with the already mentioned Textile Standard and therefore serves as a preparation for the audit for certification with the Textile Standard, where the measures and results are evaluated by FLO-CERT auditors.
Otherwise, it serves as an independent risk management tool, which covers the topics of occupational health and safety, empowerment of workers, living wages, productivity, and efficiency improvements as well as management processes through pre-assessments. The training program serves to accompany the improvement of working conditions based on the above aspects, for which the company can decide, whether limited to certain topics or all.
