Project Management

Coordinating and managing research projects is one of the responsibilities of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer. In the past, we’ve been directly involved in a number of important, government-funded projects designed to strengthen the Lower Rhine region, for example the project “Regionality in the Lower Rhine Region – Market Research in Awareness of Regionality and an Analysis of Potential”, which was funded by the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Projection. The Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer took a central role in the project, analysing how inhabitants of the Lower Rhine perceive their region and gauging the supply and demand for local products.

Among other current projects, the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer participated in the Dutch-German collaborative project INTERREG IV A project “Wissensallianz Rhein-Waal 2020”, the goal of which was to accurately assess and mobilise the innovative potential of educational and research institutions in the entire Lower Rhine regio.

In 2012, a zdi-Centre for the district of Kleve was established at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The joint NRW initiative “Zukunft durch Innovation.NRW” (‘Future through Innovation’ – zdi) aims to promote children’s and young people’s interest in the areas of engineering, natural sciences and technology.
