ZIKON II
The Ziel2.NRW-programme supports the regions of North Rhine-Westphalia in developing their key areas. The regional development plan of the Lower Rhine is aimed at enlarging the region’s areas of competence, optimising the land use, developing education within the region, making the region more attractive as a residential and recreational location and spreading awareness of the locational qualities. Thus, the programme promotes economic growth and employment for the Lower Rhine region, strengthens its potentials and reduces obstacles to regional development.
In the project, an innovation manager has been hired to improve access of students to the labour market, to support regional companies as required with application-oriented technology transfer and to strengthen the dual educational focus of the university.
