Best Idea Cup 2026
Competition for innovative business ideas at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences
After a three-year break, the Best Idea Cup at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is entering a new round. Students and alumni from all faculties are invited to submit their innovative start-up ideas in the form of a three-page concept paper by May 10, 2026.
The eight best teams will have the opportunity to present their ideas to an expert jury on June 17, 2026. The top three ideas will be awarded prize money of up to €1,200, a certificate, and twelve months of start-up coaching.
In addition, the competition offers the chance to build valuable connections within the start-up and innovation ecosystem and to further develop one’s idea toward a scholarship application.
The Best Idea Cup is organized as part of the project “StartGlocal: Global Spirit for Local Start-ups” by the Center for Research, Innovation and Transfer (ZFIT). The aim is to promote entrepreneurial thinking and support innovative ideas emerging from the university.
