Science Bench Kleve
Take a seat, ask questions, share knowledge – the in Kleve.
On 22 May 2025, the city of Kleve and Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences are hosting a Science Bench.
From 17:00 to 20:00, you can take a seat on the bench, ask questions and start a dialogue about the future of the region. The bench is a symbol of dialogue at eye level – everyone is welcome to get involved. The campaign is also taking place in Kamp-Lintfort at the same time.
In Kleve (benches at the water feature, Minoritenplatz) with:
- Christoph Bors, Climate Protection Manager (City of Kleve)
- Merle Gemke, Climate Adaptation Manager (City of Kleve)
- Prof Dr Jens Gebauer, Professor of Sustainable Agricultural Production Systems, especially in Horticulture (Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences)
- Prof Dr Florian Wichern, Professor of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition (Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences)
Why come along?
- Have your say at eye level – no stage, no lectures
- Topic: Sustainability & climate protection – ideas for our region
The discussions will focus on questions and ideas about the future of Kleve and the region. How can we make everyday life more environmentally friendly? What steps can we take as a community to better conserve resources? And how can local ideas become real solutions? It’s not just about big concepts, but also about small, practical suggestions from the population.
