Exhibition „A Young Generation"

Photo exhibition by students of the Information and Communication Design bachelor degree programme.

Thirteen students from the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kamp-Lintfort will be showing their photographic interpretations on the subject of "A Young Generation".

In the seminar directed by photographer Valerie Schmidt from Berlin, they tested and researched visual narrations and which social references from the past, present and future young generations could be visually recognized and represented.

In the exhibition in Pferdestall im Schirrhof, 3-D animated childhood memories can be found in the form of photographed analogue paper models, one can find socio-cultural photographic series or a visual quest for one's own position in a foreign country in the form of a video narration. Monochrome insights into everyday life are shown, an illustration of an auditorial journey into a man’s childhood, a dissection of analogue image material with regard to the individual photographic memory or a dissection of the influence of social media on our self-perception. Not only works on paper, but also wearable photographs or in the form of magazines and books are presented in the exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, February 25th. at 6 p.m.. ON Saturday, February 26th and Sunday 27.2. the exhibition can be visited between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
