Strategic Games and Interactive Experiments

Our strateGiX laboratory is used to conduct group simulation experiments into how social dynamics influence decision making processes and group behaviour. The laboratory contains 24 enclosed cubicles to separate test participants and control elements of an experiment.

strateGiX enables us to explore a broad range of research topics:

  • The influence of group dynamics on decision making behaviour
  • Testing models from decision theory and game theory
  • Developing auctions and auction mechanisms
  • Analysing preference structures according to varying factors
  • Investigating the relationship between economic and social behaviour
  • Ivestigating and optimising negotiation strategies
  • Simulating real negotiation and decision-making situations
  • Investigating how monetary incentives influence decision-making behaviour
