As a symbol of commitment to the planet, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences will be joining the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, the Great Wall of China and other prominent structures and places by going dark for Earth Hour 2016 on 19 March 2016.

Gemeinsam mit dem Institut für Kommunal- und Verwaltungswissenschaften (IKV) NRW veranstaltete die Hochschule Rhein-Waal am 8. März 2016 ein Symposium zum Thema Internethandel und Innenstadtverödung. 

The KLJ 3000 detection device, developed by design students at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, gave visitors to the recent Duisburger Akzente cultural festival the chance to hunt for ghosts on board the decommissioned Oscar Huber. 

Präsidentin Dr. Heide Naderer verabschiedete den bisherigen Dekan und den Prodekan und begrüßte Professor Dr. Andreas Schürholz als neuen Dekan der Fakultät Kommunikation und Umwelt sowie Professorin Dr. Nele Wild-Wall als neue Prodekanin. 

Am 2. März 2016 findet die nächste Vorlesung der Kinder-Uni zum Thema „Do-it-yourself"-Geist der „Maker“statt. Der Eintritt ist frei. Beginn ist um 17.15 Uhr im Audimax in Kamp-Lintfort.

Dr Barbara Hendricks, Federal Environmental Minister of Germany, recently visited the Kamp-Lintfort Campus of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences as well as the adjacent historical storeroom building, which was once used by the colliery Bergwerk West and is now being renovated for future use by the University.

The first annual International Symposium on Textile Malodour will be held in Kleve on 26 February 2016 from 9:00am to 5:00pm in the campus audimax building of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
